Props Master-Mistress

PROPERTY MASTER-MISTRESS: Collect, build and take care of all the props.

• Read the script and make a list of all the props needed and then talk with Director.
• Pay attention to all rehearsals to find out what props you will need.
• On give a list of props to the Stage Manger, including what props you have collected and what props you have yet to find.
• Collect all props. Some will be very difficult to find or collect. Be creative and resourceful. Don't hesitate to ask others to help, but it is your responsibility.
• On give a list of all props to the SM. By this date you are required to have all props ready. Do not wait to find everything you need.
• Before each rehearsal and each performance make sure that the props are in their proper place and check in with ASM.
• You are responsible for props during the performances.
• After the play, return all props to their proper owner and write letters of thanks. Do not let the actors lose any props. This may be the most difficult part of your job.
• Strike the show.
